Aid Ships Set Sail For Gaza On Saturday
The aid ships that are going to break the embargo on Gaza are going to embark on their journey on Saturday. 3 ships from Turkey are sailing off from Istanbul Sarayburnu Harbor on Saturday at 11.00 a.m

The ships that will sail off from Turkey are going to meet the other ships of the flotilla at international open waters. The flotilla, if not tried to stop by Israel, is going to arrive in Gaza within 24 hours from its departure.  Bulent Yildirim, President of IHH, invited everybody to the sending off ceremony for the ships, said that no matter what those ships are going to arrive in Gaza Strip. Yildirim also emphasized that the biggest crowd in history will gather in Sarayburnu and Eminonu on Saturday. Aid flotilla consists of 9 ships in total including 3 ships from Turkey, 1 ship from Greece, 1 from Ireland, 2 from England, 1 from Algeria and 1 from Kuwait. Some people will rent small boats to accompany the ship by the sea. More than 10,000 tons of aid cargo including medical equipment, medicines, cement, precast children’s playgrounds will be carried to Gaza in those ships that are supported by around 50 countries. 750 passengers from all over the world will be onboard the flotilla. Humanitarian aid flotilla co-organized by several international NGOs such as IHH (The Foundation For Human Rights And Freedoms And Humanitarian Relief), Free Gaza Movement and Ship to Gaza Platform sets sail on Saturday. A send-off ceremony will be held in Sarayburnu Harbor at 11 a.m.. Heavy attendance of the general public to the ceremony is expected. Artists, intellectuals, politicians, journalists, writers, activists, representatives of NGOs and thousands of people from the general public are expected to attend the event.
