IHH Starts Up Ramadan Activities

IHH is planning to turn the whole world into a festival ground during this Ramadan. The Foundation will be carrying out Ramadan activities in 60 cities of Turkey and 61 countries all around the world with a motto of “Together, we can change the world”.

Since the day it was established IHH has been delivering aid to those who are in need all around the world especially during the months of Ramadan. IHH’s aid teams will be working to flourish goodness throughout the world again during this Ramadan. Every Ramadan, for almost 20 years, the Foundation has been delivering food aid boxes and serving iftar (evening meals in Ramadan) to the poor, working to aid the poorer families and orphans.

IHH will be working with the motto of “Together, we can change the world” all around the world in 61 countries including Bangladesh, Vietnam, Cuba, Mongolia and in 60 cities of Turkey. The cost of one food aid box is 60 Turkish Liras. For those who want to aid a family in need can provide basic food items sufficient for at least a month by purchasing a 60TL food aid box. Besides mobile kitchens will provide iftars (evening meals for breaking the fast) in 23 cities of Turkey. Volunteers who would like to contribute to these iftar events, can sponsor a full iftar in a city or fund meals for one or more persons. An iftar per person in a mobile kitchen costs 5 TL.   

STUDENTS AND ORPHANS ARE NOT FORGOTTEN

During the month of Ramadan, in addition to the orphans supported by IHH at all times, orphans in various other regions will receive food, Eid clothes and educational aid. Orphanages will also receive additional support. Again, for those who would like to purchase Eid presents for an orphan including brand new clothes can do so by paying 70 TL. Also, during the holy month of Ramadan, both in Turkey and in other countries, students who are in need of financial aid will receive stationery items and school supplies. Zakat, sadaqah and fitr (alms giving and charitable donations) will be transferred by IHH to those who are in need in war, occupation and disaster-stricken regions all around the world.
