Kinds of activities

Home visits and psychological support studies:  Psychological guidance and counseling services are given to the orphans and their mothers who are supported by the IHH’s Sponsor Family System. As part of this, home visits are made with the participation of volunteer psychologists and families are given free counseling service on demand.

Education support (university preparation courses, summer schools and delivery of stationery supplies): Scholarships are provided to the orphans who receive university education in Ache, Gaza, İstanbul, Macedonia and Lebanon. The fees for the university preparation courses received by the orphans who will take the university entrance examination are provided by the IHH. In addition to these, the IHH tries to make contribution to the socialization of the orphans by sending them to summer school or summer camps. The IHH also provides stationery supplies to the orphans at the beginning of each academic year.

Rehabilitation support (picnics, excursions): The IHH aims to help rehabilitation of the orphans by organizing picnics and excursions. The foundation aims to help the orphans and their mothers to forget the difficulties of their daily life by participating in social life through such activities.

Healthcare support:  Medical services are offered to the orphans and their mothers for those in need, they are treated at the hospitals with which the IHH cooperates and their medicine is provided by the IHH. Medical screenings are offered to the orphans in the regions where the IHH operates and the treatment expenses of the orphans with health problems are met by the IHH.

Clothing aid: The IHH provides clothing to the orphans on the eves of the Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha and give the orphans the opportunity to buy their Eid clothes in accordance with their needs. The IHH also makes clothing aid to the orphans in need throughout the year.

Aid in kind: A variety of aid supplies such as white goods, furniture and other home appliances are provided to the orphan families.

Ramadan and Eid al-Adha support: The IHH gives priority to the orphans and their families in providing aid during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Adha. Food packages are distributed to the orphan families and fast-breaking dinners are held for them during the month of Ramadan while the orphan families are provided with sacrificial meat on the Eid al-Adha.
