Football with orphans

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation organized a football match for the orphans in the district of Afrin, northwest Syria.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation organized a football match as a part of its “Motivational Events” for orphans living in Afrin, northwest Syria. In the match that was held on a synthetic football pitch in the center of the Afrin province, orphans competed against IHH’s Simav, Kütahya Volunteers and the Syrian orphans' team won by 11-8.

In a statement by the IHH Syrian Operations’ Afrin Representative Cengizhan Özdemir, he said “We are trying to put a smile on the faces of orphans in Afrin with various events. In this scope, we held a football match with our volunteers that came from Simav in Kütahya. Our orphans who became friendly with our volunteers had an enjoyable day.”

After the match, IHH volunteers that came from the Simav province of Kütahya presented the orphans with various gifts.
