The IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation is carrying out activities in earthquake zones with 5,852 search and rescue workers and aid volunteers. While the IHH Search and Rescue Teams pulled 2,934 deceased and injured people from the rubble, emergency aid volunteers delivered support to hundreds of thousands of people in many different areas.

Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths received information about IHH's ongoing work from IHH Search and Rescue Field Officer Ahmet Aydan Bekar, as he was observing the situation in Kahramanmaraş.

Search and rescue efforts continue in the areas affected by the earthquake. 65 search and rescue teams of IHH, consisting of 1447 people, are working together with 2 search and rescue dogs. IHH also continues its aid efforts in other ways such as providing food, shelter and clothing through an emergency aid distribution team consisting of 1728 people. IHH Chairman Bülent Yıldırım, Executive Board Members and 184 coordination officers are also in the earthquake area.

The mobile soup kitchen dispatched by the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation to Ukraine, which is under Russian bombardment, departed from Istanbul. The soup kitchen was intended to provide food to 30,000 people each day. In addition, three truckloads of humanitarian supplies provided to Ukraine by the IHH in recent weeks have been delivered to war victims.

In 2022, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation delivered 2,043 truckloads of humanitarian relief supply to war-affected Syrian residents living in the country’s IDP camps and settlements in various locations.

In 2022, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation launched 107 permanent projects in 17 Asian, African, Balkan, and Middle Eastern countries. 33 construction works are ongoing in 13 countries. In addition, IHH also constructed 2,093 briquette houses in Syria, while the construction of another 2,210 houses continues.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation performed 16,693 surgeries in 8 different countries in 2022 with its Cataract Surgery Project.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation participated in the European Compliance Week in London and the Geneva Peace Week in Geneva.

IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation continues to commemorate the 11th annual Orphan Solidarity Days (OSD) project with the theme "An Armful of Goodness". Many studies have been carried out for orphans and their families in Kenya, one of the countries where the initiative is executed.

Through a partnership between the IHH and the İnsan Charity Foundation, and with financial support from The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), 54,000 loaves of bread are supplied daily to civilians living in camps in the countryside of Idlib province in northern Syria

In West Africa’s Sierra Leone, IHH inaugurated four distinct buildings including orphanages, universities and mosques. The newly inaugurated permanent works are vital to the country's future.

There are currently 36.1 million people in Somalia, Ethiopia, and Kenya who are suffering from the effects of the protracted drought. Drought has created severe obstacles to the availability of food and water in three different nations.

This year marks the eleventh year of IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation-organized Orphan Solidarity Days (OSD). Multiple initiatives aimed at helping orphans and their families were carried out in Afghanistan as one of IHH’s OSD countries.
