Cataract project

What is cataract?

Catact is a medical condition which is commonly seen in the elderly, around the world. The eye becomes opaque, resulting in blurred vision and blindness when not treated.

The hot weather in Africa, malnutrition and climate conditions, are causing many people to suffer from catact and lose their eyesight at a very young age. With lack of eye doctors and treatment facilities, especially in rural areas, many patients are forced to live in the dark as they are unable to have surgery. In order to cure this medical condition, surgery is a must. There are no other tre atments.

Our donors who wish to support this project and help a person to regain their eyesight can do so by covering the expenses of one person’s surgery through a donation of 200 TL. You may also make a smaller contribution to our cataract project fund.
