As part this event, Down syndrome children had lunch with IHH volunteers and participated in various activities including drawing, painting, jigsaw and play dough.

IHH Syrian Operations Media Representative Selim Tosun said, “Our Down syndrome children spent an enjoyable day with the event we organized in Afrin.  Occasionally we come together as part of various events and try to bring a smile on their faces.”

Tosun added “As we all know, today is 21 March World Down Syndrome Awareness Day. We also took this opportunity to bring attention to Down syndrome by raising awareness on the topic.”

At the end of the event, food packets, hygiene packets and various gifts were distributed to the Down syndrome children and their families.
