To date, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation teams are still in Haiti following the earthquake that hit the country. They conducted aid projects, delivered food and hygiene packets to 1.125 families. Our teams also met Haitian President Ariel Henry and inspected disaster-hit spots in the country.

Soon after the 7.2 SR earthquake struck Haiti last week, IHH Disaster Management teams were quick to respond with aid provisions in the country. IHH teams aided 1.125 families victimized by the earthquake with food and hygiene packets containing rice, legumes, macaroni, cooking oil, conserve foods, milk, water, soap, as well as 22.5 tons of drinking water.
Emre Çoban of the IHH Europe-America met with Haitian President Ariel Henry and inspected the disaster-hit region Nippes together. Çoban informed President Henry about IHH’s aids in the country and conveyed his good wishes and assurance that Turkey was always ready to give support.
President Ariel Henry thanked IHH for its aid and support.
IHH Disaster Management Teams that mobilized immediately after the earthquake in Izmir are still helping the victims on the 3rd day of the earthquake. Our Search and Rescue Team looked for survivors, and the others worked to heal the wounds of the victims.
